James E. Gilvin "Killer" "Dave", 66, of Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his residence.  He was born January 25, 1955 to Roy Junior Gilvin and Lavon Garner-Gilvin Gulley.  He was a truck driver for Doug Dawson Auto Sales.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, David Wayne Gilvin (Brittany) of Jeffersonville, KY; and three sisters, Maudie Tipton of Sharpsburg, KY, Carolyn Sue Gilvin of Lexington, KY and Mary Florence Gulley Bromagen of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Ciara Dawn Gilvin and David James Gilvin; and one niece, Ashley Sams of Bath County, KY.

A memorial service will be 2 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Taul Funeral Homes Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Latimer officiating.  A visitation will be held 12-2 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.
