James "Jim" Peeples, 87, of Frenchburg passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence. He was born July 25, 1935 in Fordyce, AR to the late Marvin T. and Vera Woods Peeples. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church Frenchburg, an Army Veteran and a member of VFW, Lake Charles, LA and American Legion Post 22 Mt. Sterling.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Grace Peeples of Frenchburg, KY; sons, Keith Peeples (Jodean) of Greenbrier, AR and Mark Wilhoit (Valerie) of Frenchburg, KY; daughters, Susan Hunsicker of Ocala, FL, Janet Peeples of Frenchburg, KY and Glenda Martin (Ben) of Frenchburg, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Dale Wilhoit; brother, John Robert Peeples; a sister, Jean Ross; and brother-in-laws, James Ross and Herbie Tolley.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church Frenchburg with Rev. Tim Rhodes and Rev. John Ramsey officiating, burial following at Day Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg. Pallbearers will be Casey Martin, Joseph Hunsicker, Kent Brink, Delton Domingue, Stacy Wilhoit and Matt Hilkens. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Egleston, Billy Day, Frank Brown, Rick Stiltner, Jeff Reffitt and Ben Martin.
