James Eugene Roe, 56, of Jeffersonville, KY passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1969 in Wolfe County, KY to the late John Letcher Roe and Frances Brewer Roe. He attended Tarr Ridge Union Church and was a Truck Driver.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Davis Roe of Jeffersonville, KY; daughters, Melisa Hisle (Terry) of Frenchburg, KY and Shawna Pennington (Ethan) of Mt. Sterling, KY; brother, Martin Roe (Martina) of Frenchburg, KY; sister, Brenda Davis of SC; grandchildren, Drake Nickell, Dravon Nickell and Felix Flores; two special nieces, Kirsten Flores (Tony) of Jeffersonville, KY and Kelly Davis of Jeffersonville,KY; nephews, Deavon Roe of Frenchburg, KY and James Blake Roe (Alyson) of Frenchburg, KY; and numerous friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Zonia Roe.

Visitation will be held 10am Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling with Rev. John Duggins, presiding. Burial will follow at Roe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Pope, Brandon Hunt, Aaron Ratliff, Scott Beverly, Drake Nickell, Blake Roe and Deavon Roe.
