James O. Walters, 91, or Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence.  He was born May 9, 1929 to the late Louis W. and Lute Back Walters.  He was a, US Army Veteran, a member of First Church of God Mt. Sterling and retired from Bluegrass Army Depot Lexington.

He is survived by one son, Steve Walters (Cindy) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Pam Collins (Doug) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one sister, Louise Wingate (D.C.) of Clendenin, WV; four grandchildren, Jason Collins, Amy Collins Young (Jeremy), Kelli Walters Clarke (Keenan) and Whitney Renee Walters; two great grandchildren, Stella Louise Young and Evan James Clarke.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McIntosh Walters; one brother, Wendell Walters; and two sisters, Jewell Murphy and Wilma Doyle.

A private family service will be held.
