James Wilkerson, 64, of Mt. Sterling passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Bluegrass Hospice Care.  He was born November 17, 1956 to the late Floyd and Christine Taylor Wilkerson. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Tabernacle Church and an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Tangela Purvis Wilkerson of Mt. Sterling, KY; three sons, Robert Wilkerson (Stephanie) of Chicago, IL, Jeffery Byrd (Patricia) Byrd of Mt. Sterling, KY and Timothy Byrd (Brittany) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter Amy Faulkner (Dillon) of Mt. Sterling, KY; one brother, Bill Wilkerson (Jane); three sisters, Loretta Biskner, Lisa Boyd (Raymond) and Deborah Oxendine (Everette), all of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Lexie Byrd, Justin Byrd and Robert James Faulkner.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Willkerson; and one brother-in-law, Butch Biskner.

A private family memorial service will be held.
