Obituary

Janet Marie Hunt Johnson, 68, of Jeffersonville, KY passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at her residence.  She was born March 30, 1956 in Oregon, IL to the late Jesse Earl and Bonnie May Hunt.  She owned Johnson Realty in Wisconsin; after retiring and selling her realty company, she moved to Kentucky to manage the family farm and be a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey Johnson of Jeffersonville, KY; daughters, Tina Johnson of Jeffersonville, KY, Tammy Johnson of Kenosha, WI, Trisha Moon (Harland) of Jeffersonville, KY and Emily Hollon (Jacob) of Mt. Sterling; brothers, Michael Evans (Mary) of Poplar Grove, IL, Stephen Hunt (Lynn) of Kenosha, WI and Wayne Hunt (Stephanie) of Ackworth, GA; a sister, Earla May Muhlenbeck (David) of Bristol, WI; grandchildren, Katelin Johnson (Chris), Skyler Moon (Nikki), Kylie Johnson, Austin Moon, Kayla Moon and Kayden Johnson; and great grandchildren, Xander Johnson, Arthur Hollon and Madilynn Moon. She is also survived by her chosen family, Lou Lawson of Jeffersonville, KY, Chester Thomas of Jeffersonville, KY, and Kayla, Andrew and Julie King of Berea, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Hunt; a sister, Laura Ann Gustum; and a chosen brother, Michael Gutche.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, March 21, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling, KY with Pastor John Duggins officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Friday, March 21, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jacob Hollon, Harland Moon, Jr., Skyler Moon, Chester Thomas, David Hollon, Tyler Gilven and Dustin Brooks.  Honorary pallbearer will be Austin Moon.
