Jean Martin Smith, 90, of Doe Run Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling.  She was born in Winchester, Kentucky on March 10, 1932 the daughter of the late Walter and Mabel Baker Martin.  She was a retired factory worker at Trojan Manufacturing and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.  She was a contributor to St. Jude Children's Hospital for many years and the widow of Talmadge Smith.

She is survived two sons, James A. (Martha) Smith and Robert Lee (Kathy) Smith both of Mt. Sterling; a daughter, Pam Stull of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Junie Proffitt of Mt. Sterling and Randall Profitt of Winchester, KY; a sister, Joyce White of Winchester, KY; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Dickie Stull; a brother, Robert Martin; two sisters, Sissy Proffitt and Ilene Martin.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. John Kohr officiating.  Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Melissa Smith, Will Arnett, Lydia Arnett, Amanda Vinson, Derrick Vinson, Juan Melendez and Molly Arnett.  Taul Funeral Home is in charge of arrrangements.
