Jeff was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 23, 1957.  On June 24, 2024, at age 66, Jeff passed away at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after a long illness.  At age 4, Jeff moved with his parents to Frenchburg, Kentucky.

Jeff is survived by his daughter and loyal caregiver Sarah Johnson Gibson and her husband Clayton, his four grandchildren, Kevin Gibson, Joshua Gibson, Sarah Charlene Gibson, Joshua Johnson.  He is also survived by a multitude of family and friends who dearly loved him.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Shelby Jean Johnson, his son Andrew Keith Johnson, his brother Joseph "JoJo" Johnson, and his sister-in-law Regina Johnson.

Jeff attended Menifee County High School and retired from the East Kentucky Correctional Complex in West Liberty, KY.

Jeff was a born-again Christian and faithfully attended Tarr Ridge Union Church.  Jeff loved the Lord and enjoyed singing in church, was extremely lighthearted, friendly and had a great sense of humor.  On more than one occasion, he laughed so hard that he passed out.

From a young age, Jeff was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He was always ready for an open-road cruise with his biker buddies, and was seen making daily swaths around Frenchburg on his bike and in his car.

Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg, KY, and the funeral will be 1 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg with Allen Ratliff officiating, burial following at Agee Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Clayton Gibson, Billy Shaw, Tim Little, Rick Burkett, Jonathan Morphew, Brent Maynard, Kevin Stiltner and Rick Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being requested towards funeral expenses to Taul Funeral Home.
