Obituary

Jerry Herbert White, 86, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Frenchburg, KY.  He was born May 27, 1938 in Bruno, Madison County, MO to the late Herbert Pinkney White and Pauline Hixson.  He was a veteran of the Army National Guard from 1956-1962.

Besides working for GM and Corvette, retiring after 47 years, Jerry was a farmer with many cows to oversee.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.  Jerry was a member of the UAW 2164 Bass Fishing Club. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, MO in 1957.  In his high school days, Jerry was a talented athlete and excelled in Football and Track.  His fellow athletes called him "Rabbit" because he was so fast.

Jerry and Pat were married in May 1967 and in 1981 they moved to Bowling Green, KY, where they were avid antiquers and shared an antique business.

In the last year of his life, he was under the devoted care of Dovie Smallwood and Sheila Barnett.  The family is thankful for the compassion and loving care that was shown to our brother, Jerry White.

He is survived by sister, Freda White Crouch of Mt. Sterling, KY and Linda Markel (Jim) of Poplar Bluff, MO.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Accord White; brothers, Robert White and Roy Earl White; and a sister, Ruth Ann White.

Funeral services will be held at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services, Poplar Bluff, MO.
