Jessie Boyd, 87, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital-Mt. Sterling, KY.  She was born April 21, 1937 in Montgomery County, KY to the late William B. Campbell and Francis Wyatt.  She attended Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church and retired from Kentucky Utilities.  She was a master quilter and was the recipient of many state awards.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy McKenna (Mark) of Mt. Sterling, KY; sister, Frankie Ramey of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Joshua Long (Carrie), Missy Long, Dudley McKenna, Dr. Katie McKenna (Michael) and Aleisha Ellis (Nate); and great grandchildren, Natalie Long, Eli Long, Davis Napier, Hagen Napier, Clay Ellis, Jamison Ellis and Stephen Henry Maniskas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Boyd; son, Buddy Boyd; daughter, Kathy Boyd Long; and a brother, David Campbell.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Burch officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11:30 AM-12:30 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.  Pallbearers will be David Thomas, Rick Chappel, Chris Chappel, Brad Fruth, Gerald Atkinson, Norbert Allen, Joshua Long, Eli Long and Bobby Caywood.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Women of Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church, 846 Grassy Lick Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.  Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
