Jewell Amburgey Spencer, 96, went to be her Lord and Savior Sunday, November 29, 2020.  She was born to the late Joel and Dessie Amburgey of Menifee County.

She was a life long member of the First Church of God, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, President of the Women's Missionary Society and an active member of the Nora Hunter Circle.

She was a seamstress all her life and enjoyed quilting and working jigsaw puzzles.  She worked along side her husband with their wood toy business, attending arts and craft shows through out the state for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Paul Thomas Spencer; two sisters, Virginia Bowen and Isa Williams; two brothers, Sewell Amburgey and Foy Amburgey.  Also meeting her at those pearly gates will be her life long friend, Jewell Otten.

She is survived by four children, J.T. Spencer (Linda), Paula Spencer, Jerry Spencer (Diana) Spencer and Jeff Spencer (LaDonna); six grandchildren Joel Spencer, Jay Thomas Spencer (Kacy), Caleb Spencer (Rene), Josh Spencer (Andrea Staton), Kelsey Clayton (Dillon) and Jared Spencer (Shayla Joseph); and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. A private family service will be held in compliance with the Executive Orders that have been set forth by the Governor.
