Joan Rose Greer, 86, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Edgewood Estates in Frenchburg, KY.  She was born August 31, 1938 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Edgar Allison Rose and Katie McCoy.  She was a retired Auditor for Traditional Bank and attended First Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Gregg Greer (Lee Etta) of Frenchburg, KY; a daughter, Shannon Patrick of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Jordan Patrick (Tori), Hayden Holley, Landon Holley, Kittie Perry (Jason) and Jenny Holland (Kelsey); and great grandchildren, Paxton Patrick, Navy Patrick, Wrenley Rucker and Eadie Holland.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Ernest Greer; brothers, Mike Rose, Edgar Rose, Jr., Gerald Rose and Gary Rose; and sisters, Peggy Johnson and Mary Leggett.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Ginter officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Jason Perry, Kelsey Holland, Jordan Patrick, Chandler Reynolds and Taylor Rucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Jean Walters and the caregivers at Edgewood Estates.
