John Paul Laverty, 38, of Wellington passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.  He was born in Clark County to Ann Conner Williamson and the late James David Laverty.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church Frenchburg, KY and loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his beloved son, Joshua E. Laverty of Mt. Sterling, KY; his mother, Ann Williamson of Frenchburg, KY; long time girlfriend, Debbie Givens; five siblings, James D. Laverty, Jr. (Trina) of Hampton, VA, Dawn Laverty Gray (Larry) of Winchester, KY, Mary Laverty of Frenchburg, KY, Alex Williamson of Frenchburg, KY and Haley Williamson of Frenchburg, KY.

He is preceded in death by two fathers, James David Laverty, Sr. and Gregory Williamson; a brother, James Brian Laverty; a sister, Sheena Marie Willliamson.

A memorial service will be held 7 PM, November 13, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Frenchburg with Tim Rhodes officiating. Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
