John Everett Lovins, 87, of Frenchburg, KY passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was born August 13, 1937 in Breathitt County, KY to the late Shade Lovins and Nokie McIntosh.  He was a retired Equipment Operator for Fallon Coal Company and was of the Pentecostal Faith.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with family.

He is survived by sons, Everett Wayne Lovins of Frenchburg, KY, Anthony Randall Lovins of Morehead, KY and Caenon Lovins of Frenchburg, KY; daughters, Johnna Lovins (Brookelynn Daniels) of Frenchburg, KY and Kristi Potter of Frenchburg, KY; brothers, Mitchell Lovins of Manchester, KY and Shade Lovins, Jr of Fredonia, KY; sister, Rosie Johnson of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two wives, Sheila Combs Lovins and Dellas Ruth Potter Lovins; a daughter, Penny Lovins; brothers, Brian Lovins, B.G. Lovins, Garrett Lovins, Arlie Lovins and Daniel Lovins; and sisters, Ima Gene Smith and Gladys Lovins.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Holiness Family Worship Center in Frenchburg, KY with Bro. Herman Chambers officiating, burial following at John and Sheila Lovins Cemetery in Frenchburg, KY.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Holiness Family Worship Center in Frenchburg, KY.  Pallbearers will be Brookelynn Daniels, Ryan Daniels, Kenneth Roberson, Christopher Mays, Lee Daniel Campbell and Paul Simpkins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Cornett, Drewey Lovins, Cody Black, Caenon Lovins and Jasper Lawson.
