John "Bud" Williams Jr, 83, of Hope, KY went on to meet the love of his life, Helen (Sam), Friday, April 8, 2022 at his residence.  He was born January 2, 1939 to the late John Williams, Sr. and Minnie Bowles.  He left behind a son, Mike Williams (Dana) of Lexington, KY; three daughters, Lois Rivera (Roy) of Hope, KY, Teresa Pyles (Steve) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Cheryl Isaacs (Alan) of Jeffersonville, KY; a brother, Roy Williams (Phyllis) of Lexington, KY; a sister, Sylvia Allen of Mt. Sterling, KY; twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  He was a member of Slate Creek Church of God and Love of Paws.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Goodpaster Williams; a son, James Verdenburgh; three sisters, Betty Amburgey, Pauline White and Caroline Woodard; and a grandson Bobby Joe Robertson.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Perry officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-12 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Adam Verdenburgh, Josh Pyles, Thomas Rivera, Gabe Rivera, Alex Perry and Abby Perry.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lisa Adcock, Shane Adcock, Virgil Orcutt, David Amburgey and Bill Scott.
