Josephine Wingate, 95, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born September 10, 1929 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Charles and Lillie Mae Ferguson Walker.  She was a seamstress for Cowden Manufacturing for 30 years, she also worked for Stanley Home Product Dealer.  She attended Howards Mill Church of God.  She loved to babysit, spend time with her family and word search books.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Terry (Mark) of Jeffersonville, KY.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Morton Wingate; a daughter, Sharon Gail Wingate; brothers, Edward Walker and Paul Walker; and a sister, Dorothy Rudd.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Curtis and Rev. David Campbell officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Gayler Stephens, Gerome Stephens, Ethan Henderson, Thomas Willoughby, Chad Acton and Jonathon Ballard.
