Juanita Clifford Brooks, 77, of Frenchburg passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at University of Kentucky Hospital.  She was born March 16, 1947 in Montgomery County to the late Boyd Clifford and Hattie Harmon Clifford.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  She loved gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking, spending time with her family and was an avid Bible reader.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory Brooks of Frenchburg, KY, Victor Brooks (Kayla) of Jeffersonville, KY, Kevin Brooks (Shi) of Frenchburg, KY and Nathan Brooks (Shelby) of Frenchburg, KY; daughters, Eva Brooks (Todd) of Frenchburg, KY, Ladonna Smith (Tommy) of Frenchburg, KY, Janet Burks (Randy) of Wellington, KY, Leslie Brooks of Frenchburg, KY, Crystal Oakley (Brad) of Frenchburg, KY, Myra Brooks (Kenny) of Frenchburg, KY and Jennifer Brooks of Mt. Sterling, KY; brother, Donald Clifford (April) of Mt. Sterling, KY; sisters, Aline Clifford of Frenchburg, KY, Evelyn Clifford of Frenchburg and Beverly Williams (Wayne) of Frenchburg, KY; twenty-one grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brooks; a daughter, Freda Gerrish; and brothers, Nelson Clifford and Elza Clifford.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church in Frenchburg, KY with Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating, burial following at Brooks Family Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 4-6 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Greg Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Nathan Brooks, Brad Oakley, Kenny Norton and Lehmon Clifford.  Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Brooks, Gabriel Gerrish and Kaleb Gerrish.
