Kathleen passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was born February 16, 1937, in Frenchburg KY, to the late William Doc and Ollie Day Mullins. She married Earnest "Ernie" Earl Brown on July 16, 1960, in Kentucky, and he survives.
Kathleen formerly resided in Reynoldsburg, Ohio where she worked for 35 years for the R.G. Barry Corporation as a talented seamstress in the Samples and Product Development and Design Departments.
Kathleen was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. She and Ernie were founding members of Reynoldsburg Freewill Baptist Church where they served faithfully until 2002. She sang in two quartet groups, and served in multiple other ministries touching countless lives over the years.
After retiring to Kentucky, she became a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she worshiped until her passing.
Kathleen's commitment, loyalty and love was unwavering to her surviving family; husband, Ernie; daughter, Deborah (Marc) Hoffman of Blacklick, Ohio; grandson, Christopher (Erica) Hoffman of Lebanon, Tennessee; granddaughter, Casaundra (Luke) Wilcome of Ledyard, Connecticut; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Boyd of Stanton, Kentucky and Betty Johnson of Frenchburg, Kentucky; and countless nieces and nephews.
She was one of 12 children and is preceded in death by seven brothers, Reese Mullins, Clarence "Peck" Mullins, Shelby Mullins, Sherwood Mullins, Arlie Mullins, Kenneth Mullins, Wayne Paul Mullins; and two sisters, Madge Smallwood and Reva Mae Bates.
Funeral services will be 12 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating, burial following at Egelston Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM - 12 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg. Pallbearers will be Glen Mullins, Ronnie Mullins, Forrest "Bimbo" Mullins, Mike Mullins, Stevie Catron and Chris Hoffman.
