Obituary

Kenny Davis Barrett, known to most as Kenny D, was born to Fred and Ruth Barrett of Camargo, Kentucky on September 5, 1949.  He passed on Sunday, March 17,2024 at 12:09 AM at St. Joseph Hospital.

Kenny D is survived by his wife, Mary Barrett; his son, Kenny Wayne and daughter-in-law, Brooke Barrett; three grandchildren, Codi Rasor, Wyatt Barrett and Oliver Barrett.  He is also survived by his sister, Wilma Easterling; and one niece and four nephews, Jill Chase, Timothy Easterling, Shawn Easterling, Randall Coyle, and Steven Coyle. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Barrett; his sister, Clara Coyle; and two brothers-in-law, Orville Easterling and Leonard Coyle.

Kenny D was a member of Powell's Valley Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian.  He was a fan of most things sports especially when it involved a local team.  You could often find him sitting in the stands at many MCHS basketball and football games, watching college sports on any tv he could find, or attending his grandkids various events.  Kenny D also loved vintage cars and hot rods.  During the racing and show car season, he loved spending his time at the nearest car show or dragway.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Willoughby officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Robert Curtis, Fred Willoughby, Mark Ring, David Shepherd, Tim Easterling and Shawn Easterling.  Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Martin, Vernon Martin, Roger Jolley, Joe Martin, Tony Crawford and Billy Stull.
