Kirby Martin, 92, of Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born September 1, 1931 in Hindman, KY to the late Johnnie Martin and Ada Adams.  He was a member of Old Regular Baptist Church, a farmer and was voted Local Farmer of Year.

He is survived by a son, Rick Campell of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughter, Sandy Stuart of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren, Kellee Campbell, Jason Stuart (Cindy) and Matthew Brown; and great grandchildren, Makayla Stuart and Devon Stuart.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Graham; brothers, Burchell Martin, Kelly Martin, Crugar Martin and Vernon Martin; and sisters, Beatrice Combs, Wilma Carmichael, Opal Sewell, Carmel Lansdale and Rheba Nell Cole.

Graveside services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Johnnie Martin Cemetery with Gary Hutson officiating. Pallbearers will be Rick Campbell, Jason Stuart, Devon Stuart, James Combs, Mike Cole, Steve Cole, Jason Curtis, Jacob Curtis and Matthew Brown.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Olieka Shriners Lexington, 326 Southland Drive, Lexington, KY 40503.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Windsor Care Staff.  Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
