Lahoma Hayes, 94, widow of Marvin Hayes, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital. She was born in Campbell County October 26, 1925 to the late Mary Catherine Dyer She was a founding member of Freedom Church and was a retired employee of South Central Bell.
She is survived by four sister-in-laws, Carol Webb, Mary Montgomery, Ruth Hayes and Judy Newkirk; a special niece, Suzie Hayes; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend VP Palmer.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Cranston Dyer.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Taul Funeral Home with Rev. VP Palmer and Rev. Glenn Emery officiating and a private burial at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11-1 PM Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Taul Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Evan Palmer, Logan Palmer, Clay Palmer, Connor Murphy and Scott Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Lovely, Larry Griggs, Paul Sanders, Mark Dawson, Ron Kratzer, Sherman Bennett, Gene Nornhold, Farrell Barnes and Chuck Newkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Freedom Church, Pave the Way Building Fund, 644 Maysville Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
