Lilla Mae Sons, 104, of Sterling Way, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Windsor Care Center.  She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on November 12, 1915 the daughter of the late Silas Bibb and Hannah Lee Raney.  She was a retired LPN, a charter member of the Menifee Homemakers, graduate of Appalachian Practical Nursing School and a member of the Frenchburg United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Laveda Spencer and Terri Swartz both of Mt. Sterling; a son, Robert Sons of Frenchburg, KY; eight grandchildren, Jim Sons, Rob Sons, Belinda Sons, Tami Kleczinski, Tonya Mullins, Glenda Hall, Loren Swartz and Hannah Swartz; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Albert Sons; a granddaughter, Lisa Sons; and two son in laws, Bruce Spencer and Herb Swartz.

Memorial services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg with Rev. Lloyd Latimer officiating.  Friends may visit Saturday from 1 pm - 2 pm at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg.
