Linda Prater Skidmore, 74, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital Lexington, KY.  She was born July 4, 1950 in Floyd County, KY to Augusta Prater and the late Alonzo Prater.  She attended Camargo Church of God and was a retired Registered Nurse for St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  She was an avid reader, loved the beach and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Augusta Prater of Mt. Sterling, KY; sons, Rick Skidmore (Martina) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Dan Skidmore (Rick Yokley) of Ft. Wright, KY; brothers, Mike Prater (Sandy) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Alonzo Prater of Jeffersonville, KY; sister, Alonna Becraft (Frank) of Jeffersonville, KY; grandchildren, Stephen Skidmore (Briana), Zachary Skidmore (Olivia), Nathan Skidmore and Caroline Skidmore; great grandchildren, Morgan Skidmore and Charlee Skidmore.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Fredrick Skidmore.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Skidmore officiating.  Visitation will be held 2-3 PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.
