Loretta Highley, 99, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026 at her residence. She was born April 23, 1927 in Anderson, IN to the late C.G. and Laura Phillips Estes. She attended Owingsville First Church of God and was very involved with church and church activities; she was also a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed walking with friends, reading, gardening, quilting were some of her passions.

She is survived by her son Ron Highley of Mt. Sterling, KY; sisters, Virginia Hughes of Mt. Sterling, KY and Betty Rushford of Chattanooga, TN; a granddaughter, Tamara Maybry of Georgetown, KY; and a great grandson, Ashton Maybry.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Highley; sons, Michael Highley and Robert Highley; brothers, J.B. Estes, Junior Estes and R. C. Estes; sisters, Ann Mers, Eura Lee Jones, Bobbie Hurst and Bonnie Toy.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 AM -12 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be David Lee Jones, Tommy Orme, Danny Estes and Steve Orme. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Owingsville First Church of God.
