Lowell Raney, 80, of Frenchburg passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born March 24, 1943 in Menifee County, KY to the late Willard Audrey Raney and Dulcie Conway.  He attended Bethel Baptist Church Frenchburg and retired from Hobart.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and horseback riding.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Patrick Raney of Frenchburg, KY; daughters, Anita Clark (Marty) of Wellington, KY, Hannah Raney Hussein (Ali) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Audrey Donathan (David) of Clearfield, KY; a brother, Silas B. Raney (Marge) of Frenchburg, KY; sister, Sara Lynn Daugherty (Randy) of Frenchburg, KY; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey Raney; and a brother, John Raney.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Frenchburg with Pastor Jimmy Daulton officiating, burial following at Patrick Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Friday, December 29, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Mike Kier, Ricky Kier, David Lee Donathan, Robbie Donathan, Mark Kelly, Josh Clark, Shawn Donathan and Scott Back.  In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to your favorite charity.
