Lucille "Luci" Wilson Gabbard, 97, of The Laurel's of Hendersonville, North Carolina passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her residence.  She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on January 19, 1925 the daughter of the late E. L. and Ethel Wyatt Wilson.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.   She is the widow of Rev. Hobart Gabbard.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Carolyne) Gabbard of Crytal River, FL; two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Gabbard and Jenifer Rodriguez; three great grandchildren, Makayla Gabbard, Caleb Gabbard and James Smith also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Estill Wilson and three sisters, Stella Weckesser, Ruby Wilson and Eula Farris Wilson.

Funeral services will be at 4 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene in Hendersonville, North Carolina with Rev. Harry Widner officiating and a private family burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene or the Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene in her name.   Taul Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
