Margaret Janie Thompson, 71, of Magnolia Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 9, 1950 the daughter of the late Oscar Bryant and Betty Amyx Reed.  She was a member of the Catholic faith and a retired employee of Clark Equipment.

She is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Rosemary Collins) Moore of Mt. Sterling and Gregory Allen (Colleen) Moore of Versailles, KY; a daughter, Hilary (Jeramie) Sturgill of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Emily Sturgill, Sarah Sturgill, Tyler Sturgill, Grayson Kieser and Adam Kieser; a niece, Christy Stafford and a nephew, Bryant Reed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Reed.

Funeral services will be 12 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Lloyd Latimer officiating and burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery.  Friends may visit Wednesday from 11 am - 12 pm at the Taul Funeral Home.
