Margaret "Joyce" Welch, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Windsor Care Center.  She was born in Montgomery County, KY on December 24th, 1944 to the late James and Etta Johnson Welch.

She is survived by her son James "Jimmy" Welch, sister, Stephanie (Ernie) Jones, niece Haley Jones, and a host of cousins including special family soulmates, Linda Waldroop-Lewis and Mary Carolyn Ring.  Her beloved Cats were her constant companions during retirement.

She was of the Christian Faith.  She was a retired bookkeeper for the Patty Tipton Staffing Company.

Family and friends were important to her.  Earlier in life, she enjoyed singing in the Lions Club Follies annual charity events.  She was known as the "Lady who does not need a microphone".   She loved craft painting, nature, reading to educate herself on topics that fascinated her, and all sports.  She could carry on a conversation about any sport.

A Celebration/Memorial of her Life will be held at The Bethesda Church, 3339 Winchester Road, Mt. Sterling, KY, on July 27, 2024.  Visitation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm followed by Service at 4:00pm at The Bethesda Church.
