Martha Jane Layman Pinson, 86, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 at her residence.  She was born November 24, 1935 in Comanche, Texas.  She was the daughter of the late James Issac and Cuba Lea Hicks Layman of Comanche Texas.  She was a homemaker and a retired caregiver for Richmond Place.

She is survived by two sons, Shane (Angie) Pinson of Lexington, KY and Ty (Kim) Pinson of Mt. Sterling, KY; two daughters, Bitsy Miller-See (Garred) of Lexington, KY and Darla (Geoff) Kampe of Mt. Sterling, KY; four grandchildren, Cody Thomas Kampe, Connor Douglas Kampe, Emily Jane Paige (Austin) Swiney and Matt Reide; one great granddaughter, Maren Shay Reide; a brother, Daniel Lee Layman of Seadrift, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Pinson of Mt. Sterling, KY; a brother, James Layman of Longview, TX; and two sisters, Ruth Layman Jackson of Pflugerville, TX and Betty Sue Layman of Comanche, TX.

A graveside service will be held 1 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Latimer officiating.  Pallbearers will be Matt Reide, Cody Kampe, Conner Kampe, Austin Swiney, Ty Pinson and Shane Pinson.
