Marvin Lee Barnett, 65, of Leland, NC passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at Novant Health Care in Wilmington, NC.  He was born August 11, 1958 in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late Marvin Barnett and Bonnie Brewer.  He retired after 23 years of service in US Airforce and 13 years of a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #22.  He loved UK Sports, Fishing and Golfing.  His greatest love was his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his daughters, Caroline Barnett of Pasadena, MD and Christine Barnett of Carolina Beach, NC; brothers, Darvin Barnett of Lexington, KY and Scott Barnett of Mt. Sterling, KY; sister, Angela Goodlett (Mike) of Mt. Sterling, KY; and grandchild, Carter Lockhart.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Kilgore officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12 PM-1 PM, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Legion Post #22, P.O.
