Mary Frances Griffen, 77, of Mt. Sterling passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care in Lexington.  She was born October 4, 1946 in Montgomery County to the late James Griffen, Jr. and Allene Stockdale.  She attended First Church of God.

She is survived by a sister, Carolyn Raney (Richard) of Mt. Sterling, KY; nephew, Brandon Raney (Tambra) of Elizabethtown, KY; niece, Lee Ann Whitt of Mt. Sterling, KY; great nieces, Emily Raney and Megan Raney, both of Elizabethtown, KY; and a grandnephew, Eythan Whitt of Mt. Sterling, KY.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bush Stevenson officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Richard Raney, Brandon Raney, Chris Whitt, Eythan Whitt and Bill Calvert.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 750 Rose Street, Lexington, KY 40536.
