Obituary

Mary Katherine Hatton, 80, of Levee Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the St. Joseph -East Hospital in Lexington.  She was born in Winchester, Kentucky on August 11, 1941 the daughter of the late James Rankin and Katherine Watts Snapp, Sr.  She was a retired factory worker for Sylvania and a member of the TLC Church of the Nazarene.  She was the widow of William Hatton.

She is survived by a son, Greg Hatton of Owingsville, KY; a daughter, Amy Windon of Mt. Sterling; a special friend, Linda Manley of Mt. Sterling; a brother, Kenneth (Mona) Snapp of Alabama; four sisters, Becky Dearing of Bourbon County, KY, Brenda (Oscar) Valdiveso, Linda Moberly and Jonell Henry all of Clark County, KY; five grandchildren, Erin Windon, Chelsea Reffitt, Carlee Holland, Keith (Jenny) Hatton and Whitney Hatton; eleven great grandchildren, Amelia Holland, Katie Reffitt, Caley McKinney, Kelsey Holland, Asher Holland, Aiden Holland, Aaron Holland, Andrew Holland, Remmington Hatton, Katherine Hatton and Ryatt Hatton.

In additon to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Gregory Allen Windon; two brothers, Floyd Snapp and James . Snapp, Jr.; and a sister, Jeanette Hughes.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Sterling with Anthony Miracle and Pastors Jim Crouch and John Kohr officiating and burial following in the Manns Cemetery.  Friends may visit Sunday from 11 - 2 pm at the Taul Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.  Pallbearers will be Anthony Miracle, Devin Mullins, Dale Holland, Kelsey Holland, Andrew Holland, Aaron Holland and Aiden Holland.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Amburgey, Sam Manley, Tommy Windon, Asher Holland, David Allen Snapp and Pastor John Kohr.  In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the TLC Church of the Nazarene, 119 Winn Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.  The family would like to give a special thanks to St. Claire Home Health for the last 20 years for taking care of mom.  Also, thanks to St. Joseph East for the loving care you gave our mother.
