On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Mary Mark, loving wife and mother of two, joined her heavenly father at age 93.

Mary Anderson Mark was born April 4, 1927 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to the late Mary Elizabeth Hart and Judson McDaniel Anderson. She was married to the late Henry Boardman "Boardie" Mark on October 4, 1947. They spent their lives together in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Their life included two beautiful daughters, Francie Mark Prier (Larry) of Omaha, NE and the late Rooney Mark Gray (John) of Hodgenville, Kentucky .

Mary Mark's greatest success was one that many never achieve. She was an amazing friend and family member to all who rotated in and out of her front door and back porch. Her door was never locked, and everyone was always welcome.  Friends came to her for quality conversation, beverages, and her amazing candy and quickly became family.

Her legacy, wisdom, and honesty lives on in the many who entered her home and left knowing they were beloved. Mary, "Aunt Mary," and "Mur" is survived by her daughter Francie, her four grandchildren Josh Prier (Heather),  Mary Elizabeth Cooper (Paul), Kathryn Gray Tabb (Daniel) and, Abby Prier Boethin (Tim), her 10 great-grandchildren and a multitude of chosen family.

Many friends and family of the heart preceded her in death. Many also remain behind with their glasses raised in praise. Mary Mark's well-lived life will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 13, 2020 and officiated by Rev. Bryan "Scott" Holly of First Christian Church, Mt. Sterling. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be immediate family only, but many ways in which to continue to share with her family and continue her legacy.
