Merle Barnett, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home in Jeffersonville.  He was born June 12, 1934 in Sharpsburg, KY to the late Sonny and Daley Faulkner Barnett.  Merle was a retired master craftsman contractor.  He loved woodworking in his shop and spending time with his family.  He attended Slate Creek Church of God.

He is survived by the love of his life wife, Judy Williams Barnett; daughter, Melanie Brogli (Chris) of Winchester, KY; sons, Terry Barnett (Denise) of Jeffersonville, KY and Karl Barnett of Jeffersonville, KY; a God Daughter, Tammy Lawson (Dave) of Frenchburg, KY; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by son, Romaine Barnett; sister, Mildred Richards; and brothers, Jack Barnett and Kenneth Barnett.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Williams Jr. officiating, burial following at Williams Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Duwayne Branham, Casey Caudill, Ethan Brogli, Brandon Lawson, Dave Lawson and Dustin Barnett.
