Michael Oliver Murphy, 74, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Hidden Springs Farm.  He was born August 28, 1951 in Mt. Sterling to the late John L. and Henrietta Todd Murphy.  He was a long-time attendee of Living Water Church, life-long Farmer and a US Army Veteran.  His priorities were God, Family and Country.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Murphy of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Rebecca Potter (Larry) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Tammy Stoneking (Jim) of Mt. Sterling, KY; a sister, Marjorie Bostic of Okeechobee, FL; a nephew, Michael McNew (Karen) of Hutchison, FL; grandchildren, Lauren Horton (Tyler), Christian McCarty (Leslie), Keaton McCarty (Haley), Jake Lawwill (Morgan), Shade Potter, Carly Potter, Scarlett Hicks (Johnny) and Tanner Stoneking; and great grandchildren, Case McCarty, Henrietta Horton, Hosanna Horton, Myla McCarty, Halle Horton, Maren McCarty, Gracelyn Hicks and Klae Lawwill.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Living Water Church with Pastor Grant Cannoy officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Monday, February 16, 2026 at Living Water Church.  Pallbearers Christian McCarty, Keaton McCarty, Jake Lawwill, Shade Potter, Tanner Stoneking, J.P.
