Nanetta Kirk, age 71, passed away on December 29, 2020, at her residence in Columbia, TN, surrounded by family who loved her.

Nanetta was born on May 26, 1949, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, to her late parents Clyde and Elsie Griffey Raney Beer. She spent many years serving as the Sales Manager for three newspapers before retiring. Nanetta found the good in everyone and everything, even the people and places the rest of the world would struggle to see. Her family said when the good got tougher to find; she became even more fierce in finding it. This world had nothing on Ms. Nanetta. She loved to garden, loved plants, and even playing Golf, and she even beats Harry from time to time.

A memorial service will take place on 1 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at First Church of God Frenchburg, KY. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time. Pastor Roger Wells will officiate.

Nanetta is survived by her husband Harry "Pete" Kirk; sons: Barry (Billie) Profitt, Eric Profitt, and Danny Kirk; daughter: Christy Garrett; grandchildren: Courtney (Daniel) Mathews and Shane Profitt; sisters: Kay Kash & Kim (Greg) Murphy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family members.
