Nell Marie Risner, 99, of Lexington, KY passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Sayre Christian Village.  She was born April 15, 1925 in Magoffin County, KY to the late Elvin and Nellie Dykes Risner.  She attended of First Church of God and a member of Eastern Star.  She was a self-employed hairdresser and a retired school teacher for Montgomery County Board of Education.

She is survived by daughters, Paula Galbreath (Dr. William Galbreath) of Gulf Port, FL and Shirley Howell of Tampa FL; grandchildren, Kacia Brady Merrill (Charles), Robert Howell and David Salim; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Elwood Risner; and brothers, Paul Risner and Earl Risner.
