Okie Nell Meadows, 93, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her residence.  She was born April 10, 1928 to the late Leander Calvin Sorrell and Iona McClain Plick.  She was a member of Abundant Life Gospel Church.

She is survived by four sons, Mike Meadows (Katrina) of Bath County, KY, Ricky Meadows (Bonnie) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Jeff Meadows (Lisa) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Mark Meadows of Mt. Sterling, KY; a daughter, Joyce Meadows Bays of Jeffersonville, KY; a sister, Ashley Higgins of Flaggstaff, AZ; fourteen grandchildren, Tiffany Meadows, Tiffany Cole, Chassity Bailey, Aeriel Prater, Matthew Meadows, Christopher Keith Meadows, Christopher Ray Meadows, Christin Ricker, Robert Meadows, Bobby Bays Jr., Katrina Perry, Tony Sorrell, Melissa Thomas and Tina Hamm; and twenty-eight great grandchildren.

In addition to parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Robert Meadows; two sons, Joseph Sorrell and David Meadows; six brothers; six sisters; two grandchildren, Barbara Sorrell and Michael Brandon Meadows; and one great grandchild, David "Bruiser" Prater.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Monday, January 3, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Hobson officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 4-6 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Chris Meadows, Robert Meadows, Emmett Meeks, Austin Hamm, Brannan Hamm, Zackry Williams, Timmy Prater and CJ Bailey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Aerial Prater, Chassity Bailey, Braxton Pitts, Makayla Pitts, Matthew Meadows, Brevon Ricker, Tony Sorrell, Travis Sorrell and Zackery Sorrell.
