Oliver Lee "John" Robinette, 90, passed away Sunday September 27, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital Lexington.  He was born September 28, 1929 to the late Jeff and Mary Stanley Robinette.  He was a member of Pilgrim Home Regular Baptist Church.  He worked as a Farmer, a Logger, Mining Industry, Railroad Industry and a member of Montgomery County Cattlemen's Association.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mexie Marie Francis Robinette of Mt. Sterling, KY; one son, Ronald Lee Robinette of Mt. Sterling, KY; five daughters, Billie K. Stanley (Michael) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Bettie Gay Branham of Mt. Sterling, KY, Lisa Marie Skeens (Mark) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Linda Michelle Dobbs (Kurt) of Owensboro, KY and Johnda Carol Hazelwood (Michael) of Henderson, KY; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mae Robinette, 102 years old, widow of brother Willard; and countless nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by eight brothers, Homer, Leonard, Tony, Willard, George Calvin, Earl (Jack), Ferrell and Virgil; and two sisters, Marie Stratton and Ruby Walters.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM, Monday, October 5, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Staton and Bro. Dale Williamson officiating, burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 4-7 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Michael Stanley, Mark Skeens, Kurt Dobbs, Michael Hazelwood, Adam Stanley and Aaron Stanley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathon Robinette, Tyler Dobbs, Carter Dobbs, Hugh Patrick Hazelwood.
