Otto Carl Townsend, 95, of Mt. Sterling passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 19, 1924 to the late Logan and Cora Smith Townsend. He retired after 55 years of service at a Shop Mechanic from the Walker Company. He was a Navy WWII Veteran.

He is survived by one son, Billy Edwards of Mt. Sterling, KY; two daughters, Cynthia Edwards (Rodney Agee) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Cathy Jo Edwards of Mt. Sterling, KY; one nephew, Danny Townsend; and three grandchildren, Brittney Agee, Cassandra Townsend and Courtney Hall.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Otis Townsend; one son, Timothy Carl Townsend; and eleven brothers and sisters.

A private graveside service will be held at Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. David Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Agee, Ronald Fiffe, Billy Edwards, Bryce Walker, Tim Jolly, Gary Mills, David Bailey and Don Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur and Marsha Walker, Omar and Beverly Wilson, Edith and Caroline Trent and Family, Beverly Williams and Brittney Agee.
