Obituary

Pamela "Pam" Chandler Reynolds, age 74, of Mount Sterling passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Born July 25th,1948 she was the only child of Naomi and John Chandler.  Pam lived a too short but abundantly impactful life.  She will be remembered as a faithful wife, mother, "C.C." (grandmother) and friend, as well as, a gracious host, church member and volunteer.  To say she was a homemaker would be an understatement.  Pam was a wonderful cook taking special pride in making her famous beaten biscuits especially during her favorite holiday which was Christmas.  She volunteered tirelessly at the Gateway Humane Society fostering and finding homes for numerous animals.  In addition, Pam founded the first spay and neuter clinic in town with proceeds from the Dorothy Chandler estate.  She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Pam left behind to treasure her legacy a son Brad (Emily) Reynolds of Mount Sterling, a daughter Christie (Vance) Evans of Lexington, and five extra-special and uniquely loved grandchildren Alley Evans, Case Evans, Chandler Reynolds, Lainey Reynolds (Garrett Campbell), and Liza Reynolds.  Additionally, she is survived by a sister-in-law Christie (Gene) Snowden and brother-in-law Randy (Martha) Reynolds, a host of nieces and nephews, very special friends, and her beloved miniature schnauzer Izzy Kate.  Preceding Pam in death were her parents Naomi and John Chandler, her husband of 38 years Richard Roy "Dickie" Reynolds and her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Marie Reynolds.  Visitation will be held Friday, August 19 th at St. Patrick Church located at 139 W. Main St. in Mount Sterling from 9am – 11am with funeral mass beginning at 11am presided over by Pam's dear friend and confidant Father Norman Fischer.  Committal will be at Machpelah Cemetery with lunch following back at St. Patrick.  Pallbearers will be Bud Lane, Steve Lane, Andy Baker, Jason McVey, Mac McCormick, Jason McCormick, Reid Evans, and Randy Beckham.  Honorary Pallbearers include Stan Rullman, Lowell King, Sammy Manley, Gary Thompson, and Danny Morton.  Taul Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in Pam's memory to the Gateway Humane Society P.O. Box 123 Mount Sterling, KY 40353 or to St. Patrick Catholic Church 139 W. Main St. Mount Sterling, KY 40353.
