Patricia "Patty"  A. Spencer, 87, of Frenchburg passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  She was born October 24, 1935 in Frenchburg, KY to the late Arnold and Hattie Day Egelston.  She was a member of First Church of God Frenchburg.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Spencer (Teresa) of Frenchburg, KY and Kim Spencer (Karen) of Frenchburg, KY; three grandchildren, Chris Spencer, Jacob Spencer (Zoe) and Josh Spencer; a sister, Wilma Cope of Winchester, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Spencer; brothers, Arnold Egelston, Jr., William Egelston and Jimmy Egelston; and sisters, Kathlene Caudill and Virginia Egelston.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Frenchburg with Pastor Roger Wells and Mike Sexton officiating, burial following at Spencer Family Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, July 11, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Richard Thomas, David Lawson, Willie Brown, Pete Spencer, Tim Peck and Ulysses Walton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Carolyn Johnson, Minnie Isabell, Linda Peck, Sandy Austin, Peggy Benson and her church family.
