Paula K. Varmette, 71, of Winchester passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at her residence.  She was born January 6, 1952 in Shelbyville, IN to the late Albert E. Wickens, Jr. and Jocelyn Wasson.  She was a proud patriot, Elvis lover and gun enthusiast.

She is survived by a son, Jimmie Lea (Ashley) of Mt. Sterling, KY; brothers, Jay Wickens (Karyn) of Powells Point, NC and Jeff Wickens of Charlotte CH, VA; grandchildren, MaKayla Mae Dhondt, Rebecca Noel Lea and Mason Conner Douglas Lea; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stan Vermette.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
