Obituary

Rachel Browning, was welcomed home by her Savior, Jesus on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Fleming County Hospital.  She was 79.

She was born January 2, 1946, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, daughter of her late parents, Leatha and Raymond Walters.  She was preceded in death by her son, Leonard Allen Hurst, her husbands, Leonard Hurst and Douglas Browning.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas Walters, Kenneth Walters, Ralph Walters, and her sister, Rilla Garner.  She is survived by one precious sister, Janice Corum of Versailles, Kentucky.  Also, she is survived by several nieces and nephews that were loved by Rachel.  Rachel loved her family.

Rachel worked for several years at various jobs until her health disabled her.  Rachel was a member of Eastland Church of God and loved attending the services until her health would not allow her to attend.  Rachel loved to have conversations about Jesus and reading the Bible.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Teegarden officiating, burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg.   Visitation will be held 10 – 11 AM, September 6, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Steve Walters, Aaron Arrasmith, Christopher Garner, Zac Corum, Jim Stoneking and Mike Murphy.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Garner and Philip Corum.  At Rachels request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Josh Teegarden Mission Scholarship, 1121 Poplar Plains Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, 41041.
