Rebecca Jean "Becky" Brown, 60, of Wellington, KY passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her home.  She was born October 4, 1964 in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late Howard and Bertis Bair Brown.  She was the youngest of nine children.  Becky was special in so many ways.  She was born with Down Syndrome, but it did not  define her or keep her from spreading joy to all those around her.  She loved music, strumming the guitar, singing, dancing, camping, fishing, coloring, watching tv and celebrating birthdays and other occasions with her family and friends.  Becky had a great humor and loved making everyone laugh.  Everyone who knew her loved her.  She will be deeply missed, especially by her lifelong caregivers- her sisters, Joyce Wells, Wanda Peck and her great nephew, Matthew Trusty.

She is survived by three sisters, Judy (Ed) Corder of Middletown, OH, Wanda Peck of Wellington, KY and Joyce (George) Wells of Wellington, KY; three brothers, Dale (Pam) Brown of Wellington, KY, Danny (Brenda) Brown of Frenchburg, KY and Richard (Joyce) Brown of Wellington, KY; a sister-in-law, Gail Brown of Mt. Sterling, KY; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James "Jimmy" Brown and Kenneth "Kenny" Brown; a sister-in-law, Brenda Brown; and a brother-in-law, Larry Peck.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, January 13, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg with Rev. Rick Back officiating, burial following at Powers Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Monday, January 13, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Trusty, Tim Trusty, George Wells, Jim Wells, Tyler Wells and Tony Corder.  Honorary pallbearers will be her siblings, nieces, nephews and the Wells Family.
