Rhonda Claire Parks, 71, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born May 27, 1953 in Topeka, KS to the late Robert Parks and Naomi JoAnn Highley Ramey.  In earlier years, she attended Bethel Baptist church in Frenchburg where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She loved spending time with her family, reading and playing cards.

She is survived by a son, Troy James Lawson of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughter, Tammy Swartz Rhodes (John) of Mt. Sterling, KY; a stepfather, James Ramey; brother, Robin Parks (Kathy) of Canfield, OH; sisters, Kym Horvath (Thomas) of Uniontown, OH and Charlotte Gwen Parks of Raytown, MO; grandchildren, Ryan Vanderpool (Amanda), Joshua Vanderpool (Maci), Chase Lawson (Skyler Lewis), Alexis Lawson, John Daniel Rhodes (Breanna), James Samuel Rhodes (Tiffany) and Joseph Aaron Rhodes; and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Hal Douglas Parks and Edwin Parks; and a sister, Jennifer Parks.

A memorial service will be held 3 PM, Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, KY 40351.
