Richard Junious Watkins, 62, of Winchester, KY passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his residence.  He was born August 26, 1962 in Montgomery County, KY to the late Marvin Junious and Imogene Martin Watkins.  He was a carpenter and loved horses and westerns.

He is survived by his wife, Connie King Watkins of Manchester, TN; a son, Jonathan Watkins (Amanda) of Lancaster, KY; a daughter, Samantha Watkins of Winchester, KY; brothers, Daniel Watkins (Eleonor) of Jeffersonville, KY, Matthew Watkins (Samantha) of Owingsville, KY and Vernon Watkins (Crystal) of Mt. Sterling, KY; sisters, Sheryl Watkins of Jeffersonville, KY, Arlene Givens of Clay City, KY, Melissa Rimer of Jeffersonville, KY, Trina Watkins of Winchester, KY and Jessica Parks (Tommy) of Vanceburg, KY; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Watkins, David Anderson and Kelly Watkins; sisters, Elizabeth Anderson and Lorraine Mers.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling with Bobby Tackett officiating, burial following at Hall-Watkins-Martin Cemetery in Jeffersonville, KY.  Visitation will be held at 12 PM-1 PM, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling.  Pallbearers will be Matt Watkins, Vernon Watkins, David Fountain, Jimmy Dale Pack, Branson Beatty and Ray Hall.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Parks, Charles Hall, Dwayne Anderson and Tim Watkins.
