Rodney D. Jones, 70, of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born June 25, 1952 to the late Ramon Jones and Peggy Dickerson Jones.  He was a land surveyor.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa "Terri" Jones of Mt. Sterling, KY; son, Chad Jones (Shelby) of Mt. Sterling, KY; daughters, Kristi Norris (Ronnie) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Angie Wilder of Mt. Sterling, KY; sisters, Glenna Faye Myers (Rodney) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Phyllis West of Mt. Sterling, KY; grandchildren Courtney Norris, Tucker Norris, Jalea Jones, Jaden Jones, Dawson Jones, Haley Wilder and Journi Wilder.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Scotty Jones.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel, burial following at Jones Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11-1 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Tucker Norris, Ronnie Norris, Jaden Jones, Ben Tipton, Andrew West and Phillip West.  Honorary pallbearer will be Dawson Jones.
