Ruby Townsend Crowe, 84, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her residence.  She was born May 20, 1941 in Clark County, KY to the late John Ike and Stella Mae Townsend.  She was a member of Life Impact Church, a former member of Bread of Life Church and a retired business owner of R&R Concessions.

She is survived by sons, Johnny Townsend of Sharpsburg, KY and Charles Oberle (Rachel) of Winchester, KY; daughters, Julie Cope (David) of Frenchburg, KY and Susie McCoy (Michael) of Jeffersonville, KY; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Lee Crowe; a daughter, Sylvia Johnson; brothers, William Townsend (Catherine), Sherman Townsend (Lucy), Raymond Townsend (Janice), Robert Townsend (Bonnie), Thurman Townsend (Doll), Herman Townsend (Helen) and Kenneth Townsend (Shirley); sisters, Zetta Townsend Hopper (Willie) and Mary Jane Townsend Richardson (George); her first husband, James Wesley Townsend; great granddaughter, Kaytlin Hope McCoy; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Townsend.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Castle officiating, burial following at Winchester Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Brandon McCoy, Luke Wilson, Clay Townsend, David Cope, Mike Curtis and Danny Smith.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Townsend, Julia Maness and Doug Townsend.
