Sherman Blaine Harris, 94, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling.  He was born August 15, 1927 to the late Charles S. Harris and Daisy Reel Harris.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 19, Oleika Shriners, Masonic Lodge #20, Kentucky Colonels and Order of Eastern Star. He was an Army-Air Corp (Air Force) WWII Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Sarah Alice Horton Harris of Mt. Sterling, KY; one daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Soard (David) of Wiggins, CO; one brother, Charles Harris of Shreveport, LA; and one grandchild, Ashley Elizabeth Soard.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Jacke Harris; and one sister, Bette Besuden.

Funeral service will be 12 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Patterson officiating with burial following at Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11 AM- 12 PM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel.  Pallbearers will be Javier Hernandez, Cameron Sexton, Nathan McGinnis, Joey Vazquez and Tim Johnson.  Honorary pallbearers will be  Jim McGinnis, Bert May and American Legion #22.  In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Shriner's Hospital.
